Biovation specialises in the production of tailored sector products utilising biotechnology (micros, bio active’s and enzymes) that are formulated to give maximum performance at super concentration levels – selected products have a dilution of up to 400 / 1.
As the wider public and commercial interest in helping the environment continues to grow, there is a growing demand for more environmentally-friendly cleaning products and biological cleaning products in particular– but how many of us truly understand what they are?
Biological cleaning products are generally considered to be products that use good bacteria and the enzymes they produce as cleaning agents. These friendly bacteria can also produce other actives including acids, polymers and other cleaning agents.
How the actual process works in practise, the different dirt sources, such as fats, oils, food debris, body fat and body waste are a good source of food for the bacteria, which once removed and digested produce’s natural enzymes to help them break down the waste, creating its own biofilm to continue to protect and clean for up to 80 hours thanks to residual cleaning. This process can be likened to humans producing saliva to help us breakdown and digest our food.

Our range of products not only outperform unnatural chemicals products but also protect the users, the planet, the environment and the public.
Technology, innovation and sustainability. Green PE is the result of this combination. After years dedicated to research and development, Braskem’s green ethylene plant was commissioned in September 2010. This marked the beginning of I’m green™ Polyethylene production on a commercial scale, securing the company’s global leadership position in bioplastics. The plant has received an investment of $290 million and has annual production capacity of 200,000 tons of I’m green™ Polyethylene.
I’m green™ Polyethylene is a plastic produced from ethanol sugarcane, a renewable raw material, while the traditional polyethylene uses fossil sourced raw materials such as oil or natural gas. For this reason I’m greenTM Polyethylene captures and fixes CO2 from the atmosphere during its production, helping to reduce greenhouse gases emission.
Also, the care with sustainability is present in the relationship with Braskem ethanol suppliers. Since the planting of sugarcane to the production of ethanol, suppliers must meet the principles of sustainable development present in the “Code of Conduct for Ethanol Suppliers ” developed and implemented by Braskem, which covers aspects such as respect for biodiversity and good environmental practices.
I’m green™ Polyethylene retains the same properties, performance and application versatility of polyethylene from fossil origin – which facilitates immediate use in the plastics production chain. For the same reason, it also can be recycled within the same chain of recycling traditional polyethylene.

Since the beginning of its trajectory, Braskem and its partners have been recognised and won awards from prestigious laboratories and institutions due to I’m green™ Polyethylene contribution with the development of the renewable products market, and due to innovation and environmental preservation.

Con-Serve™ can be used across single or multi-site operations. Con-Serve™ users can reduce operating costs, identify inefficiencies and win more RFP’s by providing robust sustainability data.
