Chemical cleaning is as bad as smoking 20 a day and why Biological is the answer.

We have known for many years that cleaning products aren’t good for us, yet we’re a nation obsessed with cleaning.  Why do we want to anti-bac everything in sight?  Past generations made do with vinegar and water and there were far fewer allergies.

The facts make for grim reading, and unfortunately, we’re all likely to be affected.  Research carried out over the past two decades shows that the chemicals in household cleaning products can damage your lungs as much as if you have a 20-a-day smoking habit.   And the reason we’re likely to be affected reflects the fact that cleaning (whether at home or at a workplace) is created by using harsh chemicals from corrosive harmful products utilising powerful chemical ingredients to the well-known “home products” we use daily.

It’s well established that constant exposure to cleaning products has led to the increase in lung conditions such as asthma and COPD. The products of concern were those containing quaternary ammonium compounds (‘Quats’). Many people who use spray disinfectants inhale some of the generated vapour when the trigger mechanism of spray bottles is depressed, thus inhaling bad particles. Just like smokers who inhale tobacco smoke.

Using biological bioactive products you can wipe this fear and reality away. Biological is not the only “chemical free” cleaning method, but here at BioVation we do believe it is the best!

Contrary to popular belief, biological is the way forward  – it’s perfectly possible to clean without the use of harmful chemicals, and our message here at BioVation is to change public perception and plug the message to protect our planet by using our products.

We don’t wish to blind you with science, but here the sciencey bit – it’s a simple process utilising good bacteria and the enzymes they produce as cleaning agents. The different dirt sources such as fats, oils and food debris are a good source of food for the bacteria. Once they are removed and digested, they produce natural enzymes to help break down the waste, creating their own biofilm to continue to protect and clean for up to 80 hours, thanks to residual cleaning.

Biological detergents, therefore, can be more effective at removing stains, while non-bio detergents may require a higher temperature for the same effect, and therefore use more energy. And who wants to do their cleaning in a mask?

Pulling the Bio trigger has never been so safe…
